Oklahoma has a program changing recruit as they head into their second year as a member of the SEC. Aaliyah Chavez, the #1 overall recruit in the country by ESPN HoopGurlz, has committed to the Sooners after a long and length recruiting process.

Our own Tyler DeLuca, who is based in Oklahoma and has covered the program for years, had some advance notice of which way the wind was blowing and blessed us with a full reaction and dive into how her recruitment came together.

Chavez is the highest ranked recruit in Sooner program history, their first ever #1 overall recruit and is the highest rated high school commitment since Courtney Paris and her sister Ashley joined the team over 15 years ago.
