Oooh I noticed you said that Azzi deserved the MOP award- would you be able to explain your thoughts on why she deserved it over Sarah? I love Azzi and I think she played really well, but I thought Sarah's performance was still better. Sarah had better stats across the board but I also think she was key in her defense in really shutting down the SC bigs and her rebounding felt like a key factor, especially in the first half when it felt like SC was getting so many offensive rebounds. I think she also performed better in the UCLA game. I have seen a couple arguments: 1) sarah's a freshman vs azzi's a grad senior so the idea that she'll have more opportunities than azzi, esp in the future, but not sure if that's fair 2) uconn wins when she scores 15+ so it's a big deal when she performs well (as seen in the difference between elite 8 vs final four), but to me it almost feels like that's taking Sarah's consistency for granted and she seems penalized for it? I'm curious to see what I'm missing and to hear your POV! I still think Azzi played amazingly and was key to the win but I just wasn't so clear on why she played better than Sarah. I love reading all these posts and learn so much from them so thank you for all your work :)
